SEMARANG – Sisilia Anggraeni (23010123140254), a bachelor student in the Animal Science Study Program at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), successfully completed her international internship program, On-the-Job Training (OJT), in the Philippines. The program, which ran from January 5 to February 1, 2026, was held at the Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) located at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB).
Sisilia participation in this program was fully supported by an academic scholarship from YKAI-Colruyt, which covered all operational costs while in the Philippines. Under the guidance of her supervising lecturer, Ir. Daud Samsudewa, S.Pt., M.Si., Ph.D., IPM., Sisilia successfully applied the animal science knowledge she gained in college to international-scale industrial practices.

Learning Focus and Competencies
For one full month, Sisilia explored various technical aspects related to buffalo livestock development, including:
- Frozen Buffalo Semen Production: Studying reproductive technology and semen processing for artificial insemination.
- Livestock Management: Direct observation of effective and efficient buffalo management.
- Milk Quality and Processing: Conducting buffalo milk quality tests and participating in the production process of various dairy products.
In addition to the technical aspects of animal science, this program also provides a means of strengthening soft skills, particularly in cross-cultural communication and adapting to an international work environment.
“Through this program, I not only gained technical knowledge about buffalo commodities, but also learned to communicate and understand Filipino culture firsthand,” said Sisilia.
Appreciation and Hope
Upon returning from the Philippines, Sisilia expressed her deep gratitude to all those who had supported her.
“I express my deepest gratitude to the Undip Bachelor of Animal Science Program for their administrative assistance and guidance, and to the YKAI-Colruyt Academic Scholarship for their financial support and trust, which enabled this program to run smoothly,” she added.
It is hoped that student participation in international events like this will motivate other Undip FPP students to continue achieving global success and strengthen their academic and professional networks internationally.
